As a fully qualified Beauty Therapist I had many years experience managing some of Sydney’s leading Salons & Day Spas. Also an experienced Lash Technician, I now specialise in high quality Eyelash Extensions, Brow Shaping and Semi Permanent Mascara at my very own Salon – The Lash Studio.
What are Eyelash Extensions ?
Eyelash Extensions are synthetic (individual) lashes which are curved to replicate the natural lash shape. Eyelash Extensions will vary in length and thickness, and are individually applied to your own lashes. Semi-permanent lashes are designed to shed the same way as your natural lashes, so your eyelash extensions should last 4 to 6 weeks if properly maintained. Ongoing maintenance (or infills) will generally be required every two to three weeks.
How are the Lashes applied ?
The process will normally take around one hour and up to 3 hours depending on the treatment required. You will be lying comfortably in our private studio. A treatment pad is applied under the eye, then the extensions are grafted individually onto your natural lashes. The lash adhesive is applied approx 1-2mm away from your skin, to bond with the existing lashes creating a realistic look. The adhesive used is fume free and specially formulated and designed for use near eyes.
